Nominations to the Board of Directors of the INPI: Sylvie Guinard abecomes the new President

On October 28, 2019, Sylvie Guinard, President of Thimonnier, was nominated President of the Board of Directors of INPI, whose General Direction is held by Pascal Faure. She succeeds Agnès Paillard, at the end of the term.

"Innovation is at the heart of my DNA, both family and entrepreneurial. The acceleration of the evolution of technologies and their impact on future value creation are upsetting our society. With a France rich in creative talents, we can transform these challenges into opportunities, to go to the assault of an international market. In this context, our businesses and their inventions need to be supported, helped and protected. It is therefore with great pleasure that I join the board of directors of this beautiful institution, the INPI, to take up this challenge, "said Sylvie Guinard.

The new President of the Board of Directors of INPI has spent her entire career in the industry in sectors as diverse as space, defense, railways, construction machinery or vehicles. She is currently head of Thimonnier SAS: a company of 80 people, holding numerous patents and exporting to more than 150 countries.

"Sylvie Guinard's career is remarkable first of all as a leader of a French SME, created in the 19th century and which has remained among the leaders in its field thanks to its innovation capabilities, but also because of its strong involvement in the Industries of the Future, which are in total coherence with the current evolution of the INPI. Indeed, the implementation of the PACTE law, whose first tools will be available before the end of the year, is a priority for the Institute. I am delighted, as well as all INPI employees, to welcome him to the presidency of our Board of Directors ", said Pascal Faure, Director General of INPI.
